Brief Description:
The SALUVET research group (ucm.es/saluvet) is searching for PhD students with interest in Computational Biology and Bioinformatics to study virulence determinants of Toxoplasma gondii and other parasites in a project granted by the National Research Agency. Joining our lab implies: (i) 3+1 years of contract duration, (ii) Students will have the opportunity to learn and training on Bioinformatics, using multi-omic data a to evaluate the impact of genomic variability based on genotype-phenotype association studies (iii) active participation in collaborations with groups from The Roslin Institute (Edinburgh) and National Institutes of Health (Bethesda, MD), (iv) access to high-performance computational resources and (v) a suitable scientific environment in the group.
